Hart Strength and Endurance Coaching started as a husband and wife team with a passion for health, fitness, and endurance sports. Both Heather and Geoff Hart have extensive backgrounds as professionals in the fitness industry, having spent decades working in gyms and fitness centers. Running and endurance sports (specifically anything off road and on the trail) have always been a part of their lives. After spending years coaching running teams for local gyms and running stores, as well as and helping guide friends to finish lines, in 2017, Heather and Geoff Hart decided to make their business official.
Today, Hart Strength and Endurance Coaching consists of 10 experienced coaches who all bring something unique to the table for our clients.
Coaching Philosophy:
As a coaching team, we believe that ordinary people are capable of extraordinary feats, and that living an active lifestyle can transform your life in more ways than one. We also believe that these goals can be accomplished while balancing the real world, family, and work life. It is our passion to help people reach their endurance goals, while never losing their joy for the sport.
We work hard, but we also have fun.
We strive to push you to be the best athlete you can be, while understanding that “life” often takes priority over running and training. We help you find the balance between digging deep to reach your goals, and remembering that this sport is supposed to be something we all enjoy. Our methods are backed in science with a hefty dose of “we’ve been there, too” experience. While we’ll never sugar coat the realities of training, we’re also not the type of coaches to ever yell at you or criticize your efforts as an athlete. We believe there’s room for EVERY athlete in running, ultramarathon, and triathlon, and that every athlete is on their own personal journey and timeline.

Our collective endurance racing resume includes everything from 5K’s to 200+ mile ultra marathons, stage races, adventure races, obstacle course racing, competitive road cycling and mountain bike racing, and triathlon, and more.
With decades of combined endurance training and racing experience, our coaching team experienced all of the highs and lows that come with training and racing. Using this experience combined with Heather’s proficiency as an ACSM certified Exercise Physiologist and our knowledge as RRCA, USATF, & UESCA certified running coaches, we are able to enthusiastically and empathetically help people realistically achieve their fitness and running goals while balancing everyday “life”.
